China Foundation

Creating a visual identity system which incorporate Mandarin and English.

 

Background

The China Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture (the “China Foundation”) was established in 1924 to have custody and control of the second remission of Rebellion reparations paid to the United States by China, and to apply these funds for the promotion of Chinese education and culture.

 

Concept

“Word” is one of the strongest symbol to represent the Culture. Thus, in order to emphasize the main feature of the foundation, Cultural exchange, I play with the characters in both language, and tried to incorporate them together to be the logo of the china foundation.
